Types of papers for submission

The authors are encouraged submit their working papers in broad areas of finance, accounting, and economics with a special focus on financial econometrics, quantitative modeling, banking, monetary economics, asset pricing, or public finance.

Formal requirements

Submitted papers should comply with standard scientific formal requirements. It is recommended to use the FFA WP template. The length of the working papers can be exceptionally longer then in case standard journal where the limit usually is 20-25 pages. The papers should include standard parts: Introduction and Literature Review, Data and Methodology, Results and Discussion, Conclusions, and References. Figures and tables can be published in color in the on-line version, however note that most printed journal accept only black and white, and so it is advisable to create the figures and tables in the black and white from the very beginning.

Language of paper

Papers only in English are accepted.

Submitting the paper

Please, submit the paper via Actavia system either in Adobe Acrobat (pdf) format in the full version and in the blind version (without names of the authors), or alternatively in editable MS Word format. Do not send your paper by email. Include the name, surname and academic degrees of the author(s), contact e-mail addresses and the name and address of the institution(s).

Peer review process and selection process for publication

Papers will be assessed by one reviewer. The process is structured as double-blind peer review. The review includes comments of the reviewer, a brief evaluation of contribution of the paper and a concluding statement, which can be one of the following four forms:

A: Recommendation without any comments.
B: Recommendation with comments, the incorporation of which is up to the author’s will.
C: Recommendation with comments, the incorporation of which is required for eventual publication.
D: Recommendation not granted.

Papers assessed as “A” and “B” will be published on the FFA WP website.

In the case of statement “C” the paper is, after the corresponding changes, sent back to the reviewer for new review.

The editorial board, in the case of doubts about the conclusions of the review, can ask for another review for the sake of comparison.

There is no legal claim for publishing the paper. No printing fees are required.
